Ambien.

Ambien (zolpidem) can be recommended for the treatment of insomnia and is supposed to be taken for up to 10 days unless otherwise prescribed. You must plan for at least 7-8 hours of sleep once you have taken a dose of Ambien – that way you will make sure the treatment is efficient and no side effects occur. If you get up before that time, memory problems and drowsiness are possible for the rest of the day. Other mild side effects you may get include but are not limited to headache, amnesia, forgetfulness, stuffy nose, dizziness, muscle pain, nausea, constipation, and blurred vision. The mild side effects mentioned do not need to be reported to your health care provider, as they tend to go away on their own. More serious side effects are also possible, although quite rare. You will need to report to your health care provider any of the following ones: shortness of breath, suicidal thoughts, difficulty concentrating, worsening depression, vomiting, difficulty breathing, pounding heartbeat, confusion, or blurred vision. Do not take Ambien for longer than recommended or in larger doses, as an overdose can be lethal and needs to be reported immediately to your local emergency centre.
